How important is it to get a road win early and build some early confidence?
"This was a real big win. Most importantly because Providence is a very good hockey team and are real good in their own building. We did not win enough road games last year, but I like the way we held up. We knew Providence was going to get their chances, but I liked the way we were able to get the pucks out down the stretch and Eddie Neville did a great job in net for us."
Talk about how you were able to slow down the Providence offense.
"One thing Providence does is get a lot of people involved. We needed to do a good job of the fore-check, but when the play was going the other way we did a good job of not letting their defenseman be a big part of the offense."
How important is it to get off to a quick start like you did tonight?
"One of the keys on the road is to get off to a quick start. You certainly don't want to fall behind and give the home team momentum. We are a young hockey team. This was our first road trip together. I liked how we got off to a fast start, but I also like how we finished off a real big win for us."
Talk about the early third period goal by Petruska.
"We didn't want to get into a situation where we were just going to sit back and hold onto a game. We had a decent fore-check and we got that fortunate bounce to Tomas Petruska and he got his first career goal. It was a great way to start the third."
