Cross Country Holds End of Season Banquet

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Alumni, friends and family gathered with the men's and women's cross country team to honor their accomplishments throughout the 2006 season that saw the women's team finish second in the MAC and regionally ranked twice with a final team ranking of 10th. As for the men's team, they had their first All-Ohio Champion since 1982 and their highest finisher at the Regional meet since 1986.
The Most Valuable Runner honors went to Eddie Kipchoge, Kim Settle and Jamie Roflow for their outstanding achievements this season.
The Most Valuable Freshman award went to Carly Bates while Most Valuable Newcomer went to Brad Wells.
Most Improved Runners were Kim Settle and Curtis Farnsel.
Team Captain Awards went to Curtis Farnsel, Edgar Ramirez, Kim Settle and Stephanie Hillman.
Letter winners on the women's side include first year awards for Angie Raizis, Carly Bates and Kylie Korsnack. Second year awards to Bridget Dalic and Kara Butler. Third year awards went to Stephanie Hillman, Jamie Roflow and Kim Settle.
On the men's side first year awards went to Eddie Kipchoge, Hillary Maiyo and Brad Wells. Second year awards went to Curtis Farnsel and Kevin Kaighin. Third year awards went to Edgar Ramirez and Rogers Kipchumba, the lone senior on the team.
