The Falcons evened the series with Arkansas State, 2-2. The last time the teams met in Bowling Green was on December 13, 1951.
BGSU is now 7-2 against the Sun Belt and 5-0 at home since the 1999-2000 season. The Falcons finished 3-1 against the conference this season.
BGSU never trailed in the game and led by as many as 20 points, twice.
BGSU shot 52.7% from the field after shooting 26.4% against the Indians in Jonesboro against the Indians.
The Falcons hit a season-high 13 three-point field goals in 22 attempts. That ties their best output from last season when they made 13 against Ohio in Bowling Green. Their 59.1% effort from beyond the arc eclipses last year's season-best of 58.3% against Toledo.
Coach Dan Dakich surpassed John Weinert on the BGSU men's basketball all-time coaching win list at 147. Dakich's 54.3% winning percentage is the second highest in Falcon history.
BGSU is 87-25 at home since the 1998-99 season and is 34-6 against non-conference foes under Coach Dakich.
Senior Martin Samarco had a team-high 29 points for the second straight game. He leads the MAC averaging 22.3 points per game. It was his fourth straight 20+-point effort and the 16th of his career. His 11 field goals, four assists and five steals in the game also were career-highs.
Sophomore Erik Marschall had 14 points in the first half. He also had three rebounds and a career-high three assists.
Junior Ryne Hamblet had 12 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. He drilled a season-high four of five three pointers and is averaging 8.5 rebounds in his last two games.
Freshman Ryan Sims had 11 points off the bench. He added two rebounds, an assist and two steals in 22 minutes. He hit two of three long distance calls and is shooting 50% from beyond the arc this season.
Sophomore Dusan Radivojevic had a career-high 10 points and six assists. He also tied career-bests for rebounds with five and his four field goals made also are a new career standard.
Senior Matt Lefeld had five points and tied a career-high with two steals.
Sophomore Brian Guerin made his second career start.
BGSU will host Central Arkansas at 2 p.m., Saturday.
