Falcons Continue to Climb in Mid-Major Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - After starting the year with a 13th ranking and 221.82 points, the swimming and diving program have continued to climb through the ranks of the Collegeswimming.com and are among the Top 10 mid-major programs. The 9th ranked Falcons broke into the latest Top 10 after being edged out by .51 of a point by Mid-American Conference rival Toledo in December.
Harvard University held on to their previous No. 1 position, yet Missouri State overtook the RedHawks of Miami for the second ranking. Currently four MAC programs occupy four Top 10 positions.
Bowling Green ended their regular season with a loss to No. 3 Miami and is now preparing for the conference championships, which will be held February 23-25 at Akron University.
The Power Rankings are a relative indication of a team's strength in dual meets. The mid-major support institutions that do not benefit from large football and basketball television agreements and are based on each team's best dual meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams.
