INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Junior Martin Samarco bounced back from a tough game at Akron on
Tuesday, scoring 19 points to lead the Falcons. Samarco
connected on a trio of three-pointers and now has 82 on the
season, good for third best on the all-time BGSU single-season

of 89, set in the 2001-02 season. The Ypsilanti, Mich. native
scored in double-figures for the 22nd time this year.
Freshman Erik Marschall tallied 14 points, his best scoring output since racking up 12 against Notre Dame (Ohio) on Dec. 29. The New London, Ohio product also grabbed five rebounds in 34 minutes of action. His seven field goals made tied a career-best he set against Radford earlier this season. His 11 attempts and two steals also were career standards.
Senior Steven Wright scored eight points and added a team-high five assists.
Sophomore point guard Moon Robinson made his fifth start of the season, and first since Nov. 30 against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies.
Senior Mawel Soler tied a career-high with two blocked shots.
THE GAME
With Wright State leading 8-4, the Raiders went on a 20-0 run from the 16:06 mark until there was 8:12 left in the half.
Samarco made a layup with 5:52 to go and three-pointer to cut the lead to 28-9 with 5:11 to go. That began a stretch of 10 straight points he scored for the Falcons in the first half.
WSU led 37-16 when the Raiders Jaron Taylor missed the first three-pointer in nine WSU tries at the halftime buzzer.
BGSU cut the lead to 46-32 on a Samarco triple when Steven Wright stole the inbounds pass and fed Samarco for another three-point attempt that rimmed out. That was as close as the Falcons would come.
