Falcons Finish 11th At CSU Spring Kickoff

CHARLESTON, SC - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team opened their spring season this week with an 11th-place finish at the CSU Spring Kickoff Tournament in Charleston, South Carolina. The Falcons, who shot a three-round score of 920 were only 10 strokes off from finishing seventh.
Home of the Spring Kickoff was the Coosaw Creek Country Club, a par-71 course with a yardage of 6,579.
Leading the way for the Orange and Brown was sophomore Jace Walker, who finished in a tie for 23rd with a three-round score of 227 (79-78-70). Senior Heath Ziglar (77-79-75) finished 37th with a 231, while Dan McIntyre (78-77-77) was just one stroke behind Ziglar with a 232. The final three Falcons included Trevor Spathelf (234, T-45th), Tommy Lopez (236, T-49th), and Brad Dearsman (243, T-61st).
Up next for the Falcons is a trip to Tampa, Florida for the USF Invitational (Mar. 3-5).
