Nussbaum Named MAC POW

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Jenna Nussbaum was named the Player of the Week by the Mid-American Conference. The sophomore went 5-1 in Orlando, Fla. in competition against St. Mary's, Duquesne and Grand Valley State.

Against St. Mary's, tensions began to mound for the sophomore after being down one point and 4-1 in her second set at the No. 2 singles flight. The Glenview, Ill. native fought back to take second set 7-5 and won the tiebreaker 1-0 (8)

She also went 2-1 in doubles action with a new partner in Heidi Romer. The duos loss was a 9-8 heartbreaker.

Nussbaum is 8-7 at the No. 2 Singles flight in non-conference play.

This was the first time Nussbaum was honored as the Player of the Week.
