MUNCIE, Ind. - Bowling Green (13-5, 2-1) saw their record-breaking win streak end at 11 matches in a heart wrenching 4-3 loss to the Cardinals of Ball State (7-8, 1-2).
The Cardinals gained the doubles point with wins at the one and two flights.
The Falcons remained behind early with a loss at the No. 4 slot in the singles matches but overcame the Cardinals with victories from Heidi Romer, Kelsey Jakupcin and Stefanie Menoff at the No. 3, No.5 and No. 6 flights.
After dropping the No. 2 singles flight and with the match point on the line, BSU's Jenny Thompson came from behind a set to steal the No. 1 singles point and the match from Ashley Jakupcin and the Falcons.
The Orange and Brown will remain on the road for one more day as they challenge the RedHawks of Miami University in Oxford. The match will begin at 1:00 p.m.
