Team Notes
Despite the loss, Bowling Green is one of just two MAC schools to hold an overall winning record against Ohio. The Falcons have won six of their last ten meetings with the Bobcats and hold a 65-55 edge.
BGSU knocked in four three-pointers and now have 213 on the season. Every time the Falcons connect on a three, they extend upon the record which they set against Miami earlier in the week. The previous mark was established by the 1996-97 squad who made 204.
The Falcons did not lead for the first time in MAC play all season.
Individual Notes Junior Martin Samarco once again led the Falcons in the scoring column as he tallied 15 points. With two more three-pointers, the Ypsilanti, Mich. native moved into third place on the all-time MAC single season three-point field goals list, passing Marshall's Ronald Blackshear. He now has 99 triples on the year and is averaging 19.1 points per game.
Erik Marschall continued his bid to be named to the MAC All-Freshman team as he scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds before fouling out. On the season, the 6-foot-7 forward is averaging 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds.
Freshman Darryl Clements scored a career-high 10 points while logging a personal best, 34 minutes. The Detroit native also established new career-bests in field goals made and field goals attempted as he went 5-of-11 from the floor. Two assists also ties a high-water mark for the Detroit Rogers product.
Senior Mawel Soler scored eight points, snared four rebounds and also hit a three-pointer in 24 minutes of work. For the year, the senior is shooting 48.5 percent (17-35) from beyond the arc.
Sophomore Moon Robinson made his seventh start of the season and provided four points, four assists and three steals for the Falcons as he matched his career-best in minutes played with 32.
