CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sophomore Jessica McCann has been named Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week after shooting a career-best 152 (77-75) at the Illini Spring Classic this past weekend.
She matched her season-best with a 77 on day one of the Illini Spring Classic, only to record her career-best less than 24 hours later by shooting a 75 in the final 18-holes of competition.
Her 36-hole performance (152) placed her eighth among 84 golfers. Her 152 for 36 holes was also a career-best, surpassing her 154 set last season at the NIU Spring Invitational.
Up next for McCann and the Falcons are the 2006 Mid-American Conference Championships, hosted by BGSU on April 28-30.
