MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - Giordan Watson scored eight of his 27 points in the final two minutes to lead Central Michigan past Bowling Green 71-68 Saturday.
The Chippewas (8-11, 3-4 Mid-American Conference) took a 66-65 lead when Watson hit a jumper with 57 seconds remaining. He then made the last of his six steals and made three free throws to seal the victory.
Martin Samarco and Nate Miller led Bowling Green (10-10, 1-6) with 18 points each. Erik Marschall added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Falcons.
Eddie Spencer had 15 points and six rebounds for Central Michigan, while forward Marko Spica added eight points and seven rebounds.
A Samarco layup with seven seconds left in the first half capped an 8-1 run and gave Bowling Green a 35-26 lead. Robbie Harman gave the Chippewas their first lead, 42-41, in the second half.
Central Michigan committed a season-low 11 turnovers, including just two in the second half.
