Falcons Conclude Fall Schedule at Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Bowling Green State University tennis team completed the fall portion of the 2007-08 schedule with Sunday (Oct. 21) action at the Ball State Fall Invitational. Falcon competitiors went 4-2 overall (3-2 in singles, 1-0 in doubles) on the final day of the three-day, three-team tournament.
In doubles action, senior Andrea Volle and junior Libby Harrison picked up a convincing 8-0 victory over their Ball State foes. Volle also was a singles winner on Sunday, losing just one game in her sweep.
Junior Stefanie Menoff and sophomore Samantha Kintzel each also won their singles matches over BSU opponents on Sunday. The Falcons and Cardinals were joined by Western Michigan in the tourney.
As mentioned, this weekend's action (the Ball State tourney and the Wilson/ITA Regional in Ann Arbor, Mich.) concludes the fall schedule for the Falcons of head coach Penny Dean. BGSU will return to action in mid-January of 2008.
