• Today's game marked the first time Gregg Brandon's Falcons have faced an Atlantic Coast Conference squad.
• Tyler Sheehan's first completion of the game took place three plays into the opening drive of the games. Sheehan connected with Freddie Barnes for a 13-yard reception and the first Falcon first down of the game.
• Early in the first quarter, each Tyler Sheehan (QB), Anthony Turner (WR) and Freddie Barnes (WR) were all on the field together - the significance falls in the fact that all three were listed as quarterbacks on the 2006 season. Currently, Turner's position officially remains as a QB.
• A field goal by Sinsa Vrvilo marks the second time that the Falcons have scored on their opening drive on the road this season. The Falcons opened the season with a touchdown at Minnesota and were forced to punt after the first series at Michigan State.
• In game five, the Falcons hit their seventh field goal in nine tries. Vrvilo has already surpassed the Falcon kicking corps of just a year ago. In 2006 the Falcons were four-of-nine in field goal attempts last year.
• Sheehan was 11-of-15 in the first quarter en route to picking up 74-yards. His longest completion was 18-yards to Willie Geter.
• BGSU's TD drive began with Marques Parks 21-yard completion which crossed the Falcons from their own territory into BC's at the 44-yard line. After losing three yards on a sack, Sheehan and Cory Partridge connect for a gain of 16-yards only to be followed with a gain of nine-yards by Winovich. A measurement on the field gave BGSU their fourth first-down of the drive at the BC 20. Sheehan and Partridge once again combine as the Falcons reach the 6-yard line, setting the stage for the Falcons first TD of the game. After an incomplete pass, Sheehan finds Barnes in the back of the end zone. With the 6-yard reception,
• Barnes has scored in each of the last three games. Sheehan was 5-of-7 for 65-yards on the drive.
• Jamie Silva intercepted a Sheehan pass in the second quarter, returning it for a touchdown. Prior to today's game, Toledo's Barry Church was the last player to return an interception for a TD against the Falcons. The play occurred on Nov. 21, 2006 at Doyt Perry Stadium.
• Silva finished the game with three INTs. The last opponent to have three picks in a single game was Tevell Jones (Ohio) on Oct. 18, 1997.
• Zach Charles, who entered the game with 52 receiving yards on the year, caught a Sheehan pass in the third quarter which was good for a career long 49-yards.
• On fourth-and-two, BGSU picked-up their second fourth down conversion of the year as Sheehan and Barnes connected for the fifth time during the game. BGSU then converted another fourth down (fourth and inches) on Sheehan's QB keeper to return the Falcons once again to first and goal from the 6-yard line.
• Anthony Glaud entered the game in the third quarter with 2:41 on the clock. With his entry into the game, BGSU saw four players who were listed as QB's as of last season enter the game with numerous plays containing three of the four on the field at the same time.
• Offensive lineman Kevin Huelsman recovered his first fumble as the third quarter expired.
• Glaud threw his first career TD, a 32-yard pass, to Barnes in the first play of the fourth quarter. It was Barnes' fifth touchdown in the last three games.
• Cody Basler recorded his first career solo sack.
•Corey Partridge had the Falcons first 100-yard receiving game of the season, posting 12 catches for 100 yards. The 12 catches were just two receptions shy of his career-best of 14 set last season versus Toledo.
• Barnes also had a 100-plus receiving game (Partridge beat him to 100 yards in the game), the first of his career.
• Roger Williams had seven returns for 168 yards, both career-bests.
• P.J. Mahone had his first double-digit tackle performance of his career, recording 10 tackles.
• Keston Cheathem had the first two catches of his career for 32 yards.
• BGSU had their first 400 yard passing game of the season, throwing for 401 yards (Sheehan -275, Glaud -126).
• BC had 471 total yards of offense, Bowling Green had 465.
• Bowling Green had 10 receivers catch a pass, the first time that has happened this season.
