Barnes played and started in all 12 games this season recording 77 catches for 891 yards and nine touchdowns, all team-bests. He had two games this season where he recorded over 100 yards receiving with a 10 catch 113 yard performance at Buffalo (and one TD) and an eight reception 112 yard performance (and two TDs) at Boston College. His 77 catches are third all-time in school history.

Mahone finished the season with 80 tackles on the season, fourth-best on the team. He also had a career-high seven interceptions, which placed him in a tie for first in the conference. Of his seven INTs, six came in three games, recording two interceptions versus Western Kentucky, Akron and Toledo. The seven INTs are the most by a Falcon since Janssen Patten had seven in 2003. Mahone also had 220 return yards on those seven INTs, breaking a record for return yards that stood since 1948 (207).
