The 12-member team is the result of voting by the faculty athletic representatives from among a list of candidates with a minimum of sophomore status and a minimum 3.20 GPA.
BGSU was one of four schools to place two players on the team. Joining Honegger and Mann on the squad were Akron's Jessie Crooks, Ball State's Kelsey Corbin, Eastern Michigan's Patrice McKinney and Sarah VanMetre, Kent State's Kristin Peoples and Kerrie James, Ohio's Lauren Kohn, Toledo's Kristi Zeller and Western Michigan's Tiera DeLaHoussaye and Carrie Moore.

Also during the week, she was named the MAC's co-Player of the Year, and also was named a WBCA/Kodak All-America Team finalist (i.e., earned all-region honors), becoming BGSU's first such selection in nine years.
Mann now has 15.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game this season, leading the Falcons in both categories. She is second in BGSU career scoring (1,784 points) and third in rebounding (890), and has helped the Falcons to school-record totals of 29 wins this season and 101 wins in her four years.
The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented to one MAC male and one female student-athlete each week. Candidates must be of sophomore standing or higher, have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better and have performed well during the prior week's competition. The winners are selected by a group of the conference's FARs.
The Falcons, 29-3 overall, have earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships for the third consecutive year. BGSU is a #7 seed in the Greensboro Region, and will face #10 Oklahoma State in East Lansing, Mich., on Sunday (March 18) at approximately 2:30 p.m.
