Ohio Head Coach Tim O'Shea (opening comment)
"I knew it was going to be a tough game. Its always tough to beat a team three times in a year. I thought Bowling Green really played well in their last outing with Miami (on Sunday in their last regular season game) so I wasn't at all surprised that that it was as tough a game as it was. I'm just grateful that we had enough in us to pull it out and now we have to see what we can do tomorrow."
(on Bubba Walther giving the team a lift)
"Sometimes you just get in a funk like that where the ball just doesn't go in the basket. I think Bubba (Walther) was the key today. When we were struggling he hit those three threes in a row and that got our energy going and got us a little bit of a lead. From that point on I thought we played a lot better."
Bowling Green Head Coach Dan Dakich (opening comment)
"I think the game turned when Walther hit his three three's. I think we were in the process of gaining momentum at that point, but we just couldn't get anything inside. Hats off to Ohio."
(on Bubba Walther)
"If you think about the other night (Sunday) against Buffalo, Walther basically got benched. Then, he came in tonight and hit his first three shots. That was the difference in the ball game."
(on losing)
"Coaching is this simple. When you win, it's easy. Win and it doesn't matter. Losing is hard."
(on the future)
"I think this team has really grown in the last three weeks. It's a team that doesn't have the most mature players, but every kid is socially awesome. Practice is a war. That's why I say it's going to be a great team next year."
Senior Guard Martin Samarco
"They were only giving us one shot at a time and that really hurt us because we weren't getting any second chances. It's very frustrating because no one wants to lose."
