OXFORD, Ohio - After day two of the 2007 Outdoor MAC Track and Field Championships, the Falcons rise to fifth place with one more day of competition left. The Falcons rose from eleventh to fifth place after scoring 24 points Friday.
Junior Amanda Sefcik and Kim Settle were two of the big performers of the day. In the long jump, Sefcik tied her career and season-best of 19-06.50 to finish third and claim the bronze medal. Settle claimed third as well in the steeplechase in a time of 10:51.83.
Also in the steeplechase was junior Jamie Roflow, who finished fifth in a time of 10:57.04.
Other placers in day two included TaKarra Dunning in the shot put and Andi Bunko in the javelin. Dunning finished sixth in the shot with a toss of 48-03.25.
Day two kicks off for the Falcons at noon with the running of the 4x100-meter relay, which will feature the Falcons own Jessica White, Nicole Standback, Shantell Lewis and Ashley Spates.
