Derek Spencer Wins MAC Weekly Honor

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Freshman shortstop Derek Spencer is the Mid-Amercian Conference East Division Player of the week for the week ending on May 20th, announced the conference office on Sunday.

Spencer led the Falcons to wins in three of their last four contests, including a MAC series win over Ohio. Spencer batted .400 with two homeruns, two doubles and 6 RBI during the four-game stretch. The Oregon, Ohio native also posted a .933 slugging percentage while racking up 14 total bases. Against Oakland on Tuesday, he went 4-for-5 with two homers and four RBI. He recorded RBIs in each of the Falcons two wins over the Bobcats as well.
