Wright Challenge Kicks Off Defending Our Turf Campaign

Bowling Green, Ohio - Van '77 and Tracey '77 Wright of Wapakoneta have established the Wright Challenge and provided a generous donation of $150,000 as the lead gift for the Defending Our Turf campaign. The campaign hopes to raise $1.5 million and will cover the the costs of the new FieldTurf surface that will be installed in time for the 2007 football season at Doyt Perry Stadium.
"We are thrilled to be a part of the Defending Our Turf Campaign," said Van and Tracey. "Doyt Perry Stadium holds so many great memories for us and our family's three generations of Falcon fans. With our fourth generation Falcon fan on the way, we are proud to be a part of this next step to advance the athletic program for future generations. We hope you will join us as we Defend Our Turf. Forward Falcons!"
BGSU is among the many Universities and professional organizations that have chosen FieldTurf as its playing surface over the past eight years. BGSU will be the 29th NCAA Division IA school and sixth in the MAC to have FieldTurf installed in their home football stadium.
