MOBILE, Ala. -
BGSU head Coach Gregg Brandon
"You can't turn the ball over four times in the first quarter against a great team like Tulsa and expect to have a chance to win. Unfortunately that's what happened. It was a tough night for the Falcons, no question about it. I'm not going to beat myself up or beat the kids up over this."
On Tulsa's defense
"Their defense was quicker and more active than we thought. They did a nice job, especially in that first quarter of stunting and running linebackers through and we didn't pick it up. They had a good plan. I thought their defense really out-hit us."
On Roger Williams
"Roger Williams had been close all season and he finally got one tonight. We did a nice job with the returns most of the night and had good field position. We could just never take advantage of it."
Senior Sean O'Drobinak
On your time at Bowling Green. What will you remember?
"The times I'll remember are beating Toledo and beating Buffalo and developing lifelong relationships. I got 12 friends I went to hell and back with. Those are the things I'm going to remember. I'm not going to remember tonight."
On Tulsa's offense
"We knew what plays were coming, and we knew what they were doing, we had a hard time all night just stopping them. [Tulsa] didn't do much differently. We got five games on them, we broke down every game they had. We knew their tendencies ... We just couldn't stop them."
On Tulsa's offense
"We knew what they were going in. They ran every play we thought they would, we just didn't have it tonight. We didn't play together and the rest is history."
Senior Kory Lichtensteiger
On the outcome of the game
"Just a lot of disappointment and emotions right now. Probably the closest I've been to heartbroken in a while."
On Tulsa's defense
"They tweaked their schemes a little bit. You have to give them a lot of credit for it because a lot of times we weren't able to pick it up. It felt like they were one step ahead for most of the game for whatever reason."
