Gregg Brandon
On first win home win...
"Great, I feel great for the kids they really deserved it today. After we jumped on them early there was a natural tendency to let up and I don't think that happened. I just think that Edelman is such a great player, that he ran around in that second half and made a lot of plays and they tried to make it close, but really we had the game in hand most of the way. The kids did a nice job."
On the play of KSU's Edelman...
"He's a slippery guy and very elusive and really a great competitor, but our guys chased him around enough and I think the clock ran out on him. He ran around making yards but not getting enough points. We did a good job containing him for the most part and keeping him out of the end zone enough to win the game."
On the play of Jason Rice...
"Jason Rice showed up, we've been working him and repping him and he just wasn't quite ready for primetime yet, but he showed up today and now he's ready."
On what this shows about your team to be able to bounce back...
"We got a pretty resilient crew. It's been an interesting season, the early season we played very physical games in those first four and the next four were MAC games that everyone said we should be winning but we were beat up, and we are still beat up. This is going be a war of attrition right now in the MAC East and we just got to put one foot ahead of the next and play with the guys that show up, that are healthy to have a chance to win the next game, which is all that we are thinking about right now.
Joe Schaefer
On defending Julian Edelman...
"He was an unbelievable payer. That was probably one of the most tiring games. He's just a great athlete, a great player."
Tyler Sheehan
On the teams first home win...
"It's extremely exiting. It's always nice to get a home win. Unfortunately it's our first this far into the season, but it's always nice to get that one."
On the 28-0 first half lead...
"We were executing on all cylinders. It `s real exciting, because we know we've been able to do that. We just haven't been able to finish. Twenty-eight points in the first half and the defense having a shutout is very exciting."
On his running performance...
"As long as we gain yards, I don't care when we do it or how we do it as long as we keep gaining yards."
Jason Rice
On playing running back...
"It was awesome getting the ball. I haven't played since high school. The line opened up the holes and I didn't see anyone downfield and I just kept running."
"This is way more than I thought it would be. People I didn't even know were coming up to me. I'm having a blast."
On the second half comeback... Cobrani Mixon On losing a possible fumble recovery... Julian Edelman
On the Falcons success in the running game...
"It is disappointing. Our defense really has not played at the level we hoped or thought that we should be at all year long. It is really inexcusable for them to be able to run at will like that."
"Our players will fight you. They'll fight you. It's not an effort thing. It's between their ears. It is a battle that has been going on at Kent State for a long time. The only way to overcome it is to win."
On the change of play in the second half...
"Our intensity. Like coach said, I guess the players felt more loose when we were down. There was no pressure on us."
"We had more opportunities than that to get back in the game, but we just kept blowing it. We had a lot of chances to get in the game, but we just didn't make plays we need to make."
On the inability of the wide receivers to make plays...
"You can't do that as a quarterback. They've made plays, I've made bad throws. You just can't do that. Bayes played good. McBride stepped up a couple times today. They have their highs and their lows along with everyone else on the team. You just can't do that."
