Cross Country Banquet Celebrates Team Accomplishments

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University cross country teams held their end of the season banquet, Dec. 13. The banquet awarded athletes for their performance during the 2008 season.
Many different awards were given out to the men and women. Some of the awards include Most Improved Runner, Most Valuable Runner, Most Valuable Freshman and the Heart of a Falcon award. The seniors and team captains for both teams were also honored for their dedication and leadership.
Sophomore Chris Moody's hard work and success this season was reflected during the banquet. He was the winner of the Most Improved Runner and Most Valuable Runner awards. Moody was also recognized as a second year letterwinner.
Other award winners include: junior Andrea Pereira de Almeida, Most Improved Runner; Ben Leinienger, Most Valuable Freshman; senior Kara Butler, Most Valuable Runner and senior Jamie Roflow, Heart of the Falcon award.
