BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - Each week, Bowling Green State University Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Greg Christopher answers a few of the many questions that have been submitted to BGSUFalcons.com. Here is the latest installment ...
Q: Why does the football team have three uniforms that have three different styles? There is no consistency with regard to number and letter fonts or shoulder striping between the brown, orange and white jerseys. Shouldn't there be one identity for the team? Right now it just looks like a compilation of whatever is available.
Drew in Genoa
A: You are correct on the various points in your email, including the inconsistent look. As indicated in the note, the compilation stems ordering jerseys over time and not maintaining a consistent appearance. This past summer, we ordered new white jerseys. Going forward, as we rotate new home jerseys into the mix, we'll be consistent with what we have in place and use our new marks and font.
Q: Why was the choice made to remove the bleacher seating at the south end of Anderson Arena?
Alison in Bowling Green
A: The upper part of Anderson's south end is now home to the Falcon Club's Center Court hospitality area. Similar to the tent at football games and the Center Ice room at hockey, the Center Court area provides members with an uncongested space to mingle and have a sandwich or beverage. The pipe and draping does eliminate a section of seating. Our capacity in Anderson is now about 3,700.
