LOS ANGELES - Women's Hoops Falcon Whitney Taylor trades in her basketball shoes for a tour guide's cap as she invites the Falcon Faithful to see the California sites through her eyes and camera lens.

This weekend we made it a point to see many of the "tourist" features Los Angeles has to offer. Friday (May 30) morning, we set off for Santa Monica Beach and spent the day surfing and laying in the sun. Then we walked to the Santa Monica Pier and rode the famous roller coaster and ferris wheel.
Saturday (May 31) we woke up early and drove a few miles down the street to Universal Studios. There we took the Studio Tour and got to see many of the interesting movie sets. We got to drive down the famous Wisteria Lane from "Desperate Housewives" and see all the houses featured in the show. We also saw sets from "The Fast and the Furious," "King Kong," "JAWS," "Back to the Future," the famous Bates Hotel from the movie "Psycho," "The Grinch's Who-ville" and many other sets like New York streets and an old western town.
Then we rode a few of the featured rides including the Jurassic Park River Ride and the Mummy ride. That was a very fun day and we will soon be heading back to the park to ride a few more of the rides and see some of the shows they offer.
Sunday (June 1) night we went to the Upright Citizens Brigade and watched featured comic Janeane Garofalo, who has appeared on things like "Saturday Night Live," "The West Wing," "The Laramie Project" and "Rataouille". We spent the night laughing and enjoyed the show.
Tonight we will be going to the "Jay Leno Show" to see featured stars William Shatner and Chelsea Handler. Should be interesting to see a famous show up close and live!
