Falcons In 10th After Day One of Cardinal Classic

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team carded a 36-hole score of 591 (302-289) on day one of the Cardinal Classic, hosted by the University of Louisville. The Falcons currently sit in 10th place among the 16-team field.
The Falcons were led by junior John Powers, who carded a 36-hole score of 141. The Bowling Green, Ohio carded a 73 in the opening 18 holes, and followed that up with a 4-under 68. He currently sits in a tie for 10th.
Also competing for the Orange and Brown were Parker Hewit (146, T-31st), Matt Schneider (150, T-53rd), Drew Preston (154, T-65th) and Chad Walker (157, T-70th).
A total of 78 golfers are competing in the 54 holes of action.
The Falcons will conclude the Cardinal Classic, starting on Tuesday morning.
