BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University will be hosting the Jane Herrmann Invite on Friday Jan. 23 at Perry Field House, starting at 5:00 p.m. This will be the second competition at home for the Falcons.
Jane Herrmann was a member of the Bowling Green Track and Field Team from 1978 to 1981. She was killed in a car-train accident in December 1981, six days before she was scheduled to graduate. Herrmann, who was deaf, had competed in the discus and javelin at the Deaf Olympics.
The Falcons will be hosting IPFW and the University of Dayton. IPFW is returning to compete for the second time at BGSU and this will be the Falcons first time in competition with Dayton this season.
Price of admission for adults will be five dollars, three dollars for children under the age of 18, two dollars for college students (with I.D.) and free for BGSU students (with I.D.).
