In the Spotlight: Jordan Samuels-Thomas
October 11, 2009 | General, Ice Hockey
This week's edition of "In the Spotlight" on bgsufalcons.com is highlighting freshman forward Jordan Samuels-Thomas.
A native of Windsor, Conn., the six-foot two-inch 190-pound has already made a splash on the Falcon lines in his inaugural season. With a great combination of size, speed and a great slap shot, "JST" looks to lead the way on offense for 2009-10.
ADDITIONAL NOTES ON "JST"
• Scored 32 goals and 22 assists (54) while playing for Waterloo (USHL) in junior hockey
• Was a seventh-round draft pick in the NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers organization
• Tallied an assist in BGSU's exhibition match versus Wilfrid-Laurier
• Picked up three assists on the opening weekend of the 2009-10 Falcon season versus Minnesota State (Oct. 9-10)
