Falcon Club Hits Grand Slam in Badenhop Challenge!

The Falcon Club has announced the Burke Badenhop Challenge has reached its goal of seeing 100 young alumni become Falcon Club members. With strong "pitching-in" support of Florida Marlins pitcher Burke Badenhop, a former Bowling Green Academic All-American, the Falcon Club was able to put a major victory in the books with their Young Alumni Challenge.
As of Oct. 23, there were 112 young alumni contributing to the win, with over 25 percent of those being former student-athletes. The Young Alumni Challenge started with Badenhop's vision of recruiting young alumni, those within 5 years of graduation, to join Falcon Club and help support Falcon Athletics. It has evolved into something much greater, however, and with Burke's encouragement, it has met and exceeded its initial goal.
Through Badenhop's encouragement and the help of many diligent Falcon Club members, hundreds of young alumni were challenged to “get in the game”. It was this positive coaching that allowed Falcon Club to round the bases and reach its goal of 100 new young alumni members. As Badenhop has so frequently talked about, it is important to give back to the Athletic Department, and with the help of these new Falcon Club teammates, the department can continue to grow.
