Geter, Prochaska Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Freddie Barnes and volleyball player Corey Domek.
Male Athlete of the Week
Willie Geter, a junior from Miami, Fla., had a season high 16 carries for 114 yards and three touchdowns in the team's 38-24 win over the arch-rival Toledo Rockets. He added four catches for 31 yards, finishing the contest with 145 all-purpose yards. All three of Geter's scores came on one-yard runs, while adding a 61-yard run late versus the Rockets to ice the game.
Female Athlete of the Week
Lauren Prochaska, a junior from Plain City, Ohio, led the Falcons in both scoring and rebounding as BGSU picked up a pair of wins last week. She had 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as the Falcons topped Oakland (81-66) and UNC Greensboro (80-51). Prochaska shot .591 from the field, making 13 of her 22 attempts, and was 5-of-12 (.417) from three-point land on the week. She had 17 points at OU, adding six rebounds and five assists. The five-assist game was her third in the season's four games. Then, Prochaska had a season-high 20 points vs. UNCG, adding a team-high five rebounds. She went 7-of-11 from the floor, making four three-pointers. Prochaska also had a blocked shot in each of the two games.
