Bailey Arnold, one of two members of Bowling Green State University's incoming freshman class for the 2010-11 women's golf team, has been named LaRosa's MVP of the Week.
A Cincinnati, Ohio native, Arnold is a senior at Seton High School and is a four-year letter winner on her school's golf team. She qualified twice for the OHSAA state golf tournament. In her senior season, Arnold averaged a 37 and was a medalist 14 times.
Arnold is a two-time GGCL Player of the Year and first-team All-City. Last summer, Arnold captured first place in the Cincinnati Junior Met tournament. She also owns many school records at Seton High, including lowest 18-hole (72) and 9-hole (34) score.
Off of the golf course, Arnold is active in student council and the National Honor Society. She is also a Seton Student Ambassador. Arnold is active in community service and has also played basketball and ran track for her school.
LaRosa's MVP Of The Week is given to deserving high school athletes in the greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas to honor their service and accomplishments on and off the field of play. The award has been given for 35 years and began after local high school athletes and coaches volunteered to help rebuild a local pizzeria owned by Buddy LaRosa after it was almost completely destroyed in a fire. In response, LaRosa created this award, a yearly MVP award, and a Cincinnati-area high school sports Hall of Fame.
