Brown, Prochaska Named Papa John's Athletes of the Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Dee Brown and women's basketball player Lauren Prochaska.
Male Athlete of the Week
Dee Brown, a sophomore from Detroit, Mich., shot 56 percent from the field in helping the Falcons to a 2-0 weekend defeating Savannah State 59-51 and Fordham 67-46. Brown was 10-of-18 from the field and average 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while playing an average of 32.0 minutes per contest. Brown had 14 points in the team's road win over Fordham, making 7-of-11 shots, and grabbing a career-high seven rebounds.
Female Athlete of the Week
Lauren Prochaska, a junior from Plain City, Ohio, averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest as Bowling Green downed Saint Francis (Pa.) and #14/16 Vanderbilt. She had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Saint Francis and followed that up with 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals as the Falcons downed Vanderbilt 66-60 on the road. She played 78 of a possible 80 minutes and shot 65 percent from the field.
