BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University Women's Cross Country/Track and Field Program has signed four high school seniors to National Letters of Intent, Head Coach Cami Wells announced today. Joining the Falcon program for the 2009-10 seasons are JESSICA GRANT (Wadsworth, Ohio), TIMIA INGRAM (Reynoldsburg, Ohio), ALIXE KORSNACK (Sylvania, Ohio) and JEANETTE PETTIGREW (Maple Heights, Ohio).
"I am very excited to have Jeanette, Timia, and Jessica joining our track and field program," said Wells. "We have been focusing on adding depth to the sprints and jumps area of our team and these three young ladies are all tremendous athletes who will be outstanding additions to the program. Since Coach Jody Stewart took over as sprints, jumps and hurdles coach in September, he has been recruiting non-stop. To his credit and dedication he brought together an incredible group of young women in his first recruiting class.
"I am equally excited to have Alixe Korsnack joining our cross country and track and field teams. Alixe will be a solid addition to both teams and adds depth to our middle distance area and cross country squads. We anticipate additional signings in the coming weeks and look forward to rounding out the complete 2009-2010 recruiting class this spring."
