Women's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team has announced its spring schedule for 2009. The Falcons of head coach Andy Richards will have four home dates in April, culminating with a home tournament and the team's annual alumnae game at Cochrane Field.
BGSU's schedule begins on Thursday, April 2, with a short trip north to Ann Arbor to face Michigan (assistant coach Scott Gloden's alma mater). The Falcons return home to meet Grand Valley State two days later (April 4).
The home schedule continues on Monday, April 13, with a date vs. Findlay, before BG heads to Dayton for a match under the lights on Friday, April 17.
The following weekend sees BGSU wrap up the spring slate with an all-day tournament on Saturday (April 25) and the team's alumnae match on Sunday (April 26).
The Falcons of finished with an overall record of 12-6-4 and a Mid-American Confrence ledger of 6-3-2. BGSU placed fourth in the final MAC standings, and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament. Richards and his staff lose the services of six seniors -- Brianne Eisenhard, Susan Hunter, Kristin McDonald, Gina Rossi, Corbie Yee and Christy Zabek -- off of that squad. BGSU has posted 46 wins since the start of the 2005 season, the highest four-year win total in Falcon history. Rossi, a fifth-year senior, was with the program for 56 of the team's 112 overall victories.
