Twelve Falcons Named to Academic All-MAC Team
December 03, 2025 | Women's Soccer
The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team was well-represented when the Mid-American Conference office announced the Academic All-MAC Team on Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 3). The Falcons had 12 student-athletes named to the team.
BGSU's lengthy list of honorees includes Lizzie Bultynck, Emme Butera, Taylor Green, Emily Hollar, Lauren Mahoney, Payton O'Malley, Audrey Oliver, Ellie Pool, Jayna Searles, Emma Stransky, Minah Syam and Haley Wolf.
A total of 138 student-athletes were named to the team. Bowling Green's total of 12 honorees was tied for the third highest among MAC schools.
The Academic All-MAC honor is bestowed upon student-athletes who have excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. True freshmen are not eligible for the award.
BGSU finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 10-3-9, and the Falcons went 4-1-7 in MAC play. BG finished sixth in the 13-team conference, then proceeded to advance past third-seeded Buffalo and second-seeded Miami en route to the MAC Tournament's championship match. BGSU had just two seniors on the 2025 roster.
The Falcons were the only NCAA Division-I team in the country that did not allow more than one goal in any match this season. In BGSU's 22 matches, the Orange and Brown kept nine clean sheets and allowed exactly one goal on 13 occasions.
BG advanced to the MAC Tournament for the ninth consecutive season, the longest current streak among conference schools. And, the Falcons have appeared in the MAC Tournament Final a league-record 11 times.
