Hartman Places Second at Sun Angel Classic

TEMPE - Senior Whitney Hartman places second in the hammer throw at the first day of competition of the Sun Angel Classic at Arizona State University.
Hartman would finish with a throw of 57.34 meters in the hammer throw. In the preliminaries she was third overall behind Kim Williams from Louisiana State University and Sarah Grimm from the University of Utah. After the preliminaries, Hartman would beat out Grimm for the second spot and finish less than one mete shy of Williams.
Hartman's performance at ASU qualifies her to compete at NCAA Regional Meet. Her hammer throw would exceed the qualifying distance by over three meters.
The rest of the Falcon Squad will be competing tomorrow at the Sun Angel Classic.
