Falcons Finish 10th at UK Bluegrass Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Final Results
The Bowling Green State University men's golf team fired a final round 316 en route to a 10th place finish at the UK Bluegrass Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky.
The host Wildcats won the 54-hole event with a score of 880, followed by Western Carolina (890), Central Florida (896), Ohio (903) and Austin Peay (903) to round out the top five.
Matt Schneider, who began the morning with a share of the tournament lead at 1-under par, carded a final round 76 for a 54-hole score of 219 (71-72-76). The junior finished the 90-player field in third-place.
Parker Hewit recorded his second straight 78 en route to a tie for 37th. The freshman opened with a 74-78 on day one, finishing the tournament with a score of 230.
Bowling Green, Ohio, native John Powers finished in the middle of the pack, carding a 235 (77-77-81). Powers finished in 51st.
Rounding out the Falcon competitors were Drew Preston (240, T-67th) and Scott Blackburn (242, T-73rd).
Up next for the Orange and Brown will be the Boilermaker Invitational. The 54-hole event begins on April 18.
