BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Head coach Shannon Salsburg and the Bowling Green State University softball team will take a quick break from Mid-American Conference play as they take on Michigan State on Tuesday (April 21) at 4:00 p.m. at Old College Field in East Lansing, Michigan.

ON DECK FOR THE FALCONS...
Michigan State • Spartans • 4/14 • 4:00 p.m.
The Falcons will collide with Big Ten regional foe Michigan State for the fourth straight season ... the Spartans are currently 14-24 overall and 0-11 in the Big Ten, on a two game losing streak ... this past weekend the Spartans dropped a double-header to Iowa (8-0 in six innings, 4-3 in 10 innings) ... the Falcons lead the all-time series 12-7 over the Spartans ... the Falcons and the Spartans have split the last four meetings 2-2, however the Orange and Brown are on a two game winning streak against the Spartans at Old College Field ... the Falcons and the Spartans met twice last season as the Spartans took the first meeting 6-2 at the Stetson Spring Classic in Stetson, Florida and the Falcons took the second meeting 2-1 with a seventh inning rally ... last meeting between the regional foes at Old College Field took place on last year on April 22nd where a seventh inning Falcon rally lifted the Falcons past the Spartans, 2-1.
HOME SWEET HOME
After a quick road trip and break in Mid-American Conference play against Michigan State (April 21), the Falcons will return home to Meserve Softball Field for a six game home stand, their last home stand of the 2009 season. The Orange and Brown will kick off the home stand in a double-header against MAC East division opponent Buffalo on Friday (April 24) at 1:00 p.m.
SENIOR DAY 2009
The Falcons will honor their lone senior co-captain Hayley Wiemer on Sunday (April 26) as the Falcons take on MAC East division rival Kent State. The first pitch is schedule for 1:00 p.m.
