Women's Basketball Banquet Scheduled for May 1

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team will hold its annual banquet on Friday, May 1, in the ballroom of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The evening's events will begin with a social at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. with the program to follow.
The cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple. Additional ways to impact the overall success of the BGSU women's basketball program include being a player sponsor ($30) or a table sponsor ($270 for a table of 10).
The Falcons' two seniors, Lindsey Goldsberry and manager Randall Clark, will be recognized, and the team's end-of-season awards will be handed out as well.

The 2008-09 Falcons, of course, won the Mid-American Conference regular-season title for the fifth consecutive year. The Falcons of head coach Curt Miller, associate head coach Jennifer Roos, assistants Brandi Poole and Kevin Eckert and director of operations Monique Rosati finished 29-5 overall and 15-1 in MAC play, advancing to a national postseason tournament for the fifth consecutive year.
BGSU's overall win total was the second-highest total in school and conference history, and the Falcons advanced to the third round of the WNIT. Goldsberry finished her career with an eye-popping total of 114 wins, the most wins in BGSU amd MAC basketball history -- men's or women's -- in a four-year period.
