Costa Rica: Day 9

The BGSU women's basketball team, after the trip of a lifetime, has returned to the States. The Falcons awoke in Costa Rica on Thursday (Aug. 20), had one final breakfast at Villa Blanca, and prepared for the long (that's an understatement) day of travel.
After a few final pictures with Melody and Edgar -- the world's greatest tour guide and bus driver, respectively -- the Falcons boarded the bus and pulled out of Dodge at 8:15 a.m. local time. Fred the coati even showed up to see the bus off. We appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to stop by. Everyone on the team agrees that Fred is their favorite coati.
The day included a two-hour bus ride to the airport near San Jose, a flight to Atlanta, a few delays in the Atlanta airport, a flight to Detroit and a bus ride to BGSU. The bus pulled into Anderson Arena at 2:45 a.m. Eastern Time.
