Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Joe Jakubowski and women's basketball player Tracy Pontius.

He made 5-of-9 shots, including 3-of-4 from three-point range, and all four of his free-throw attempts. Jakubowski also had two steals and scored eight of his points during an early 13-0 run that gave Bowling Green a 19-10 lead.
Female Athlete of the Week
