Mohler, Yu Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Brett Mohler and swimmer Vicky Yu.
Male Athlete of the Week
Brett Mohler, a freshman from Yorba Linda, Calif., scored a pair of power play goals in the hockey team's weekend split with Northern Michigan. On both nights, Mohler scored the first BGSU goal. Friday night's goal set the tone in a defensive struggle and led to a 2-1 victory for the Orange and Brown, helping the team equal last year's win total (five) through only 11 games.
Female Athlete of the Week
Vicky Yu, a junior from Shenyang, China, won all four events in which she competed, helping the Falcon swiming team to a 174-119 win over Youngstown State. She was a part of the 400 medley relay team with set a new Beeghly pool record time of 3:58.92, which was 25 seconds better than Youngstown State's closest team. Yu also won the 200 individual medley by seven seconds and captured both the 100- and 200-yard freestyle races.
