Calvin Wiley's 13 yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter cut Toledo's lead to 12 points at 19-7 but the Rockets scored just 19 seconds later to extend the lead again.
The game went to the half with a 26-7 score but the Falcons got a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown from Eugene Cooper less than five minutes into the second half to make it 26-14. Toledo was forced to punt on its next possession but a Matt Schilz pass was intercepted to end the threat.
The Rockets added one more touchdown late in the third and there was no scoring in the fourth.
NOTES
* Eugene Cooper's punt return for a touchdown was his second of the season. He is the first BGSU player in program history to return two punts for touchdowns in the same season.
* Cooper's 71-yard punt return was the longest ever by an opponent against Toledo and it was the eighth longest punt return in BGSU history. It also tied for the fifth longest play of any type this year for Bowling Green.
