Brown, Prochaska Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Dee Brown and women's basketball player Lauren Prochaska.
Male Athlete of the Week
Dee Brown, a junior from Detroit, Mich., averaged 17.0 points in two games this week, including a career-high 24 in the Falcons' 76-67 win over Florida International Sunday. Brown made 6-of-8 shots, 3-of-4 three-pointers, and 9-of-13 free-throws in the victory. He added three assists, two rebounds and a steal as BGSU snapped a seven-game losing streak. He also scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Falcons' 59-52 loss to Sunbelt power Western Kentucky.
Female Athlete of the Week
Lauren Prochaska, a senior from Plain City, Ohio, set a new NCAA Division I record by making 67 consecutive free-throws and led the Falcons in scoring and rebounding in a pair of road wins. She averaged 20.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor and from three-point range. She tied her career high with six three-pointers and scored 22 points in the win over Austin Peay.
