Marschall, Forstein Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Erik Marschall and pole vaulter Sabrina Forstein.
Male Athlete of the Week
Erik Marschall, a senior from New London, Ohio, averaged 10.5 points and 8.0 rebounds as Bowling Green beat Eastern Michigan on the road before losing to Central Michigan at home this week. Marschall posted his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, making 5-of-8 shots, in the loss to Central Michigan. In a win over Eastern Michigan earlier in the week, Marschall was very active, posting 10 points, six rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist, making 5-of-6 shots.
Female Athlete of the Week
Sabrina Forstein, a senior from Geneva, Ohio, won the pole vault at the Tom Wright Classic, posting a mark of 12-4, a new school record, breaking the previous mark of 12-3.75, set by Andrea Cook in 2001. Forstein has now won the pole vault in two consecutive meets.
