GYMNASTICS PERFORMANCE LIST
The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team will put its three-match win streak on the line this Sunday as they travel to Muncie, Ind., to face the Cardinals of Ball State on Valentine's Day. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. inside Worthen Arena.
Bowling Green (3-2, 2-0 MAC) is currently the lone team in the Mid-American Conference with two wins as they will face-off with Ball State in search of their third straight conference win, a feat the Falcons have only accomplished twice this decade (2007-08 and 2001-02).
The Falcons are coming off their strongest performance of the year last weekend, scoring a 193.300, .675 higher than any other meet in 2010, in a win over Illinois-Chicago. Not only did the Falcons post a season-best total score they also recorded a 48.675 on the vault and 48.850 on the floor, both season-highs for the Orange and Brown.
Freshman Danielle Wishart had the best performance of her young career, finishing first on the floor exercise (9.875) and balance beam (9.825) and second on the vault (9.875), all career-bests for the young Falcon. For her efforts she was named BGSU's Papa John's Athlete of the Week.
Ball State (3-5, 0-1 MAC) posted a season-best 193.925 last weekend in the loss at Illinois State (194.150). They were led by MAC Gymnast of the Week, Brittney Emmons, who posted a 39.300 in the all-around.
