Special Two for Ten Ticket Offer Available for Saturday's (Feb. 27) Events
February 22, 2010 | Men's Basketball, Ice Hockey, Women's Basketball
Saturday will be a busy day of athletics on the BGSU campus
Falcon fans can take advantage of a special 2 for $10 ticket offer this Saturday (Feb. 27) when the BGSU women's basketball, men's basketball and hockey teams will all be in action at home for their respective Senior Day/Night games. Tickets will be available either in advance over the phone (877-BGSU TICKET) or walk-up the day of the game, and fans can get a ticket for either basketball game and the hockey game for ONLY $10*.
The Falcon women battle Kent State at noon at Anderson Arena in the first game of a televised doubleheader on FS Ohio. The Falcon men will then host Akron at 2:30 p.m., with the Falcon icers capping the trio of events by taking on Michigan State at 7:05 p.m. at the BGSU Ice Arena.
The basketball doubleheader will be part of “Hoops for Haiti,” an effort being organized by BGSU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to raise funds and product donations for American Red Cross (funds) and ISOH (product donations) Haiti relief. The Falcon women's and men's basketball teams will be wearing special “Hoops for Haiti” t-shirts during their pre-game warm-ups that will be available for purchase from BGSU Bookstore (with net proceeds benefiting Haiti relief), SAAC representatives will be in attendance at both games collecting product donations in the Anderson Arena lobby, and $2 from every ticket sold to either game (beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET on Monday [Feb. 22]) will benefit the “Hoops for Haiti” effort.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to all events throughout the day for special pre-game Senior Day/Night recognitions. Also of note, former BGSU Hockey great Ken Morrow will be in attendance at the BGSU-MSU hockey game and will drop the ceremonial first puck pre-game. Morrow was a player on the 1980 Gold Medal-winning U.S. Olympic Hockey team and was also a member of four different NHL Stanley Cup Champion teams.
