Men’s Basketball Holds Annual Awards Banquet

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University held its annual men's basketball awards banquet Sunday evening to recognize the 2009-10 team. The team honored four seniors during the evening – Matt Karaffa, Marc Larson, Erik Marschall, and Otis Polk.
Todd Walker, the voice of the Falcons, served as the emcee for the event and head coach Louis Orr and the rest of the coaching staff talked about the season and handed out awards.
Nate Thurmond Rebounding Award – Otis Polk
Nate Thurmond Defensive Player of the Year Award – Marc Larson
Anthony Stacey Field Goal Marksman Award – Erik Marschall
Howard Komives Mr. Big Shot Three-Point Field Goal Award – Dee Brown
Keith McLeod Assist Award – Joe Jakubowski
Howard Komives Free Throw Marksman Award – Joe Jakubowski
Unsung Hero Award – Matt Karaffa
Most Improved Player – Luke Kraus
Antonio Daniels Impact Player Award – Scott Thomas
Freshman Scholar Athlete – Luke Kraus
Sophomore Scholar Athlete – Scott Thomas
Junior Scholar Athlete – Joe Jakubowski
Senior Scholar Athlete – Marc Larson
