BGSU Finishes among NCAA Leaders in Numerous Categories

Falcon team, individuals place well on national statistical lists
The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team was ranked near the top of numerous categories in the final NCAA statistics for the 2009-10 season. The final stats were released following the national championship game on Tuesday night (April 6).

BGSU was ranked in the top half of all NCAA Division-I teams in 17 of the 18 team categories, and the Falcons were among the top-50 schools in 10 of those categories. BGSU ranked third in the entire nation in three-point field-goal percentage, shooting .387 from long range, and the Falcons were seventh in the country in three-pointers made per game (8.4).
BGSU also ranked among the top 25 in win-loss percentage (19th, .794), scoring margin (20th, +12.9), free-throw percentage (22nd, .753) and scoring offense (24th, 73.4 ppg).
Individually, junior Lauren Prochaska was ranked among the top 50 in four categories. After leading the entire country in free-throw pct. as a sophomore in 2008-09, she placed fifth in the nation in '09-10, shooting .899 from the stripe. Prochaska was eighth in the country in three-point FG pct. (.449), 27th in three-pointers made per game (2.7) and 41st in scoring (17.9 ppg).
