As the Bowling Green State University women's soccer team prepares for a pair of home contests this weekend, head coach Andy Richards sat down for a quick interview with BGSUFalcons.com to give an update on his team's preseason practices and a preview of this weekend's action. The Falcons will host a Friday (Aug. 20) exhibition against the University of Windsor, beginning at 5:00 p.m., before opening the 2010 regular season on Sunday (Aug. 22) at 1:00 p.m. against the University of Cincinnati.
Both of this weekend's matches will be held at Cochrane Field on the BGSU campus. As part of BGSU's Centennial celebration, there will be free admission to all home men's and women's soccer exhibition and regular-season matches.
Richards and the Falcons return 17 letterwinners, including eight starters, from last year's team. Additionally, 12 freshmen have joined the program this season.
