The 2010-11 season marks the final one in Anderson for the Falcons, as BGSU is 'Closing the Doors of The House That Roars' before moving into the Stroh Center for the 2011-12 campaign.
BGSU has not played as many as 15 regular-season home contests since the 1981-82 season.
The non-conference schedule was announced on August 16, and sees the Falcons playing a total of 13 contests. BGSU ends non-conference action by playing three games against 2010 national tournament participants in a four-game span.
The MAC schedule, as in recent years, sees the Falcons playing two games against each of the other five East Division schools, with BG facing the West Division foes once each.
The conference slate begins on Wednesday, Jan. 5, with a trip to Athens to face Ohio University. The Falcons' first swing through the East Division sees BGSU host Miami (Jan. 8) and Akron (Jan. 12) and travel to Ohio, Kent State (Jan. 15) and Buffalo (Jan. 18).
BGSU's six-game cross-divisional schedule brings Central Michigan (Jan. 22), Toledo (Jan. 26) and Ball State (Feb. 5) to Anderson Arena, with the Falcons hitting the road to face Western Michigan (Jan. 29), Northern Illinois (Feb. 1) and Eastern Michigan (Feb. 12). The UT game is a rematch of the 2010 MAC Tournament championship contest.
The Falcons close the regular season with five more games against the East. BG hosts Ohio on Feb. 16, before playing two consecutive road games, vs. Miami (Feb. 19) and Akron (Feb. 22). The Falcons close the regular season with back-to-back home contests, taking on Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 26, and ending the schedule vs. Buffalo on Wednesday, March 2.
The Falcons are coming off a 27-7 season, in which Miller and company went 14-2 in the MAC en route to a sixth-straight conference regular-season crown. BGSU also won the MAC Tournament, for the fourth time in six seasons, and advanced to national postseason play for the sixth consecutive March. Miller and his staff – associate head coach Jennifer Roos, assistants Brandi Poole and Kevin Eckert and director of operations Monique Rosati – return 10 letterwinners from that team.
